Meet Mrs. Stead

I am so pleased to be the Principal of Riverside. It is so exciting to work with such a talented and professional staff. We are all lucky to have the opportunity to work with such fantastic families and students. Riverside truly is a great place to be. If you are not already part of the Riverside family we would be delighted for you to come and attend with us as we learn and grow.

 I would like to tell you a little about myself.  I am married to Mr. Stead and we have two daughters who attend another Wichita Public School.   We have three dogs, one I am trying to train to become a school therapy dog.  One day maybe he will be able to come to Riverside with me. My hobbies are spending time with my family, learning how to do new things on the computer, camping, fishing and reading.  I love to watch my girls participate in their activities.
I come from a long line of educators.  My great grandfather was a superintendent.  My grandmother was a teacher for 40 years and my mom was a teacher for 26 years.  I have been a teacher and principal for almost 20 years.  All of my years have been spent here in the Wichita Public Schools.  I think Wichita is the greatest place to live.

 Looking at our web site you will see all the neat and innovative things our staff is so doing with students.   Each student is challenged every day to do their best and learn the most they can.  There definitely is no child left behind at Riverside.
