"And a hush fell over room three."  With those few words, spoken with a slight accent left over from the north and in a voice that has the ability to carry to the back of the theater, room three falls silent.

Mrs. Kilbane came to Riverside in 1997 and taught second grade for the first six years.  She began teaching first grade in the 2004-2005 school year. She takes the award for neatest classroom in the building.

Mrs. Kilbane has been married for 34 years and answers the question "Does anyone really love their dentist?" with an emphatic "Yes!"  She has two brilliant boys, one who is pursuing his PhD in a very cold place and one who is working with Messy Science in curriculum development.
