Meet Mrs. Roux:

Mrs. Roux was born in Wichita and attended Wichita Public Schools.  After student teaching at Riverside, she received her Bachelor's Degree from The Wichita State University in 1999.    Mrs. Roux spent one year at Payne Elementary before returning to Riverside. 

Mrs. Roux's husband, Dwayne, is a mechanic and farmer.  Her daughter, Chelsea, is a senior at Newton High School. They live on a farm outside of Newton where they grow soybeans, wheat, corn, milo, oats and cattle.  It is an exciting event when third graders and their kindergarten buddies visit the farm during the spring.  This will be the second trip for many of the students.  It is a special time for all four generations of Mrs. Roux's family as they come together to show the "city kids" about their life on the farm.
