Meet Mrs. Graves:

Mrs. Graves was born in St. Louis, Missouri but moved to Wichita at the ripe old age of thirteen days.  She met her future husband when she was hanging posters (we won't say where) for class elections in her senior year at Newton High School.  She received her Bachelor's degree from Bethel College, where both her parents were professors.  She taught in Topeka, Kansas while her husband attended law school at Washburn University.

Since returning to Wichita, she has taught at Lawrence, Buckner, Beech and Emerson.  Mrs. Graves came to Riverside to teach second grade in August, 2004.  Her favorite thing about teaching is being able to watch students grow and see them learn to be able to do things themselves.

Mrs. Graves has two grown children, Kimberly and William, and one miniature adult grandson, Jakob.  Her favorite things to do away from school are knitting, shopping and eating.  (No organs, please!)
